Food waste contributes 10% to global emissions but 9 out of 10 countries’ NDCs fail to focus on food waste and loss

A new report shows that, of the 195 countries attending COP29, only 12 have committed to reducing food waste and just 17 to tackling food loss.

Making fuel from the FOG fraction of AD waste

AD plant converts waste solvents to biogas, in a UK first

In an apparent first of its kind within the UK, a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Northumberland has been equipped with an anaerobic digestion (AD) plant to recycle waste solvents into low carbon gas, which is being injected into the national gas grid. It will also produce enough energy to power an equivalent of 6,000 homes.
